This standardized test is widely accepted at undergraduate colleges and universities nationwide. The SAT is a multiple-choice test designed to gauge verbal and mathematical abilities, and includes a writing component. This test preparation program concentrates on test-taking techniques, timesaving methods, logical reasoning, verbal ability and mathematical competence. Past exams and simulated materials are used to teach question types and strategies. A commitment to homework is strongly encouraged. Students should bring the calculator they will use on the SAT. Calculators permitted while testing are: graphing calculators, scientific calculators, basic four-function calculators (not recommended).
Classes meet on Mondays and Wednesdays, 6-8:30 p.m.

- Session II: April 9 - April 25
- Session III: May 7 - May 23
- Session IV: September 10 - September 26
- Session V: November 5 - November 20*
The SAT will be offered at area high schools on March 10, May 5, June 2, August 25, Oct. 6, Nov. 3, and Dec. 1.
* Note: Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, class will meet Tuesday, November 20 instead of Wednesday, November 21.
The session includes 18 hours of instruction, textbooks, and all materials for $295.00 – a fraction of the cost of comparable programs.
Each class features TWO experienced test prep teachers – one with expertise in improving verbal skills and one with expertise in improving math skills.
Class will meet from 6-8:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays for three consecutive weeks on the UNC Asheville campus.

Once a registration is received, a confirmation letter is sent to students with a receipt, room location, directions to campus, a campus map and information about parking.
